Airways Business Center Metropolitan District

Overview

The Airways Business Center Metropolitan District is Title 32 Special District that has been established for the purpose of financing and installing street and safety, water, sanitation, park and recreation and mosquito control improvements of the District; and all other improvements or services permitted by Article 1, Title 32, C.R.S. (collectively, the “Public Improvements and Services”), except as specifically limited by the Service Plan for the District approved by the City of Aurora on September 8, 2003, as it may be amended from time to time (the “Service Plan”).

The Public Improvements and Services are for the use and benefit of the residents and taxpayers of the District. The District is located in the City of Aurora, Adams County, Colorado. The District is quasi-municipal political subdivisions of the State of Colorado authorized to provide specialized services that the City of Aurora or Adams County does not provide.

The District may incur a maximum debt of $6,295,000.00. Revenue from the imposition of a mill levy or various other revenue sources authorized by law may be used to repay such debt.

The District may assess a maximum mill levy of 45.29 to repay such debt and pay for administrative and operations expenses adjusted for changes occurring after 2003.

The District must file an Annual Report to the City of Aurora, the Division of Local Government, the State Auditor, and the Adams County Clerk & Recorder.

The District boundaries overlap with the boundaries of Adams County, Aurora, Regional Transportation District, School District 28J-Aurora, Urban Drainage South Platte, and Urban Drainage and Flood Control District.
